Hair Transplant

What Is Hair Transplantation?

The greatest long-term remedy for both men and women who are losing hair is a hair transplant, which can help you overcome baldness. Since this is the medical term used, you may have heard male hair loss referred to as androgenetic alopecia.

Hair transplant is a type of treatment for baldness and a medical surgery to end your hair loss. Experts (medical team) take hair from your covered area known as ‘donor site’ then fill the bald or balding area known as ‘recipient site’.

We as Juvo Health offer two types of hair transplantation,

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) and Direct Hair Implantation (DHI).

Hair Transplant, Aesthetic Operations, Transfer & Accommodation, High Quality Treatment Services At Affordable Prices in Istanbul, Turkey. Juvo Health.

Comfort-in

Each patient who is considering getting a hair transplant has unique questions and worries, given their individual life-style, occupation and responsibilities. The quickest and most accurate way of getting the answer to these questions is by getting a free consultation from our medical consultants, who can evaluate your situation fully and respond accordingly. While each patient is unique, one worry that is common among almost all patients is “will it be painful?”.

To start with, hair transplantation is a relatively comfortable operation and the post-operation process should not cause any major disturbance to the patient’s daily life. The operation is performed under local anesthesia and once the anesthesia has been administered, the rest of the procedure should go smoothly. The pain that most patients encounter during the operation is while the local anesthesia is being performed and newly developed technological delivery methods have made significant improvements in reducing discomfort during this step of the operation.

Needle-free Anesthesia: What Is It and How Does It Work?

Simply put, a needle-free injection—also known as a needle-less injection—is one that is administered without the use of a needle. The injectable drug (local anesthesia) is delivered into the scalp using a combination of pressure, high velocity, and a syringe/nozzle that has been specifically created for this purpose.

The technology used during this process is called Comfort-in. Via the pressure mechanism of the Comfort-in dermojet tool, local anesthesia is transmitted under the skin without puncturing the skin with a needle. By itself, the Comfort-in technology cannot provide the necessary numbness required to perform a comfortable hair transplantation procedure.  But do not despair, using this tool prior to the administration of regular local anesthesia (performed with needles), on average reduces the pain of regular local anesthesia administration up to 70%. It is also important to note that the administration of local anesthesia is a very small part of the operation and the rest of the procedure is a smooth process.

Is this really the best possible option? Nothing else?

All things considered, the answer is yes. Sedation and other techniques with a similar mechanism are available, and it can be seen as an easier way out by some patients who are particularly sensitive to pain. These prospective patients need to keep in mind that regardless of the kind of operation in question, unnecessary drug administration of any kind is never advised by the medical community or adopted as standard practice. Medical consensus agrees that hair transplantation can very easily and all-in-all comfortably be performed under local anaesthesia. There is no need for patients to be put under the influence of unnecessary drugs through sedation or similar techniques.

Theradome

Theradome is an FDA cleared laser hair regrowth helmet. Laser hair regrowth treatment, also known as Laser Phototherapy (LPT), is a powerful and effective supplementary treatment for hair loss. By themselves, laser regrowth treatments, and other hair restoration alternatives such as PRP and mesotherapy cannot lead to hair regrowth to the extent that hair transplantation can. However, these treatments are powerful supportive tools to enhance and optimise the result of your hair transplant. They can also improve the quality of existing hair, allowing you to achieve an over-all healthier and stronger head of hair.

How does it work?

Theradome laser hair helmet was designed based on four critical scientific criteria, which together give one of the most powerful and effective laser hair growth treatments available. Theradome laser light, unlike Light Emitting Diodes (LED) devices, targets stem cells at the base of hair follicles. This enables the development of a new photonic pathway that can repair damaged hair. This cold laser hair growth treatment stimulates the mitochondria of hair cells by treating the root of hair follicles. The cell energy produced by the mitochondria is then used by hair follicles.

For LPT hair growth treatment to be effective, a treatment area must be penetrated at the proper depth with subsequent energy absorption. Different light wavelengths will produce different laser energy, which penetrate human tissue at different depths. But only coherent laser light with a wavelength of 680±8 (nm) nanometers may pass into hair follicles. Theradome’s 80 patented lasers use red light’s potent healing properties at a 680 nm wavelength that is optimal for clinically effective hair growth therapy.

In order to effectively achieve hair regrowth, an LPT device must ensure that the proper energy dosage is applied to the hair. The Swedish Laser Medical Society states that cellular response of the hair follicles for hair restoration is triggered by optimal energy density provided to the scalp during treatment. These rules are carefully followed by the Theradome laser helmet, giving a hair growth treatment dose that increases hair density and overall quality while also speeding up hair regrowth.
